1936

Noubar Parnakian gets into the field as an employee in a stationery store in San Cristobal.

1958

Noubar Parnakian jumps into a new project, opening a stationery – toy store.

1982

Noubar Parnakian ends up with the commercial partnership and rents another place to open his own store one block away form the original one.

1983

Noubar Parnakian´s son, Raul Parnakian, joins his father´s project.

1990

Raul Parnakian makes the decision of buying a new land to build the first self-service store in Argentina.

2000

Libreria Ale is recognized as the best wholesaler in Argentina.

2004

The company buys a new land and starts to construct the current building where the store and the offices are located. In 2007, the building is inaugurated.

2016

Ale gets into the business of representing foreign brands and launches its own brands.

2019

The third generation of the family jumps into the business.

Noubar Parnakian, or “Don Ale” as his nearest used to call him, opened for the very first time Libreria Ale´s doors more than 60 years ago, a business that has always been renowned for its innovation and avant-grade in the field.

Libreria Ale was the very first store in Argentina with self-service model, and nowadays it doesn’t only stand out for selling third party products, but also for developing its own brands and representing in the country recognized foreign firms in the stationery field.
